Luton Choral Society would like to appoint an experienced pianist to play for its Tuesday evening rehearsals. Rehearsals (approx 37 per year) are held in Luton, during term time, from 7:30-9:30.
The appointment would begin in April 2010 and run through to the end of the Summer term 2011, with an option to continue subject to confirmation.
The pianist would play for rehearsals every week during term-time and, if unable to be at a rehearsal, would be expected to provide a deputy of appropriate ability.
As well as demonstrating a high standard of playing and sight-reading, applicants will be confident reading and playing chorus music in four or more parts from a vocal score.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to play for one rehearsal at the beginning of the April term. Fees would be paid monthly, and would total £1,332 per annum.
